While the peppermint bark fiasco was taking place it seemed sensible to do some chocolate covered pretzels for another male family member (when in doubt - gift food).

95% broke while the wrapper was being removed
all the broken pieces were used to do a proper peppermint bark to replace the peppermint bark fail(having said that, we were gifted peppermint bark from at least 2 different friends and my "proper" peppermint bark was definitely not as good as it could have been!)

evidently when taking pictures of our project it didn't seem necessary to take one of the finished candy canes. Let's just say I was feeling as brittle as a candy cane by the end.
